Eyes With Ash
Eyes full of ash and tears
Waking the dead, sitting in a tomb.
I wipe those tears away;
Only to have them replaced with ashes.
Burned over and placed under.
Hopes long forgotten.
Dreams once living; fallen in dark places of gloom.
There is no ghost, dust to dust; ashes to ashes.
The life’s magic force dwells eternal.
If you knew we never die, what would you do with the time?
I would play in graveyards and say that death is a lie.
